For cars 10+ model years old, FL Statute 319.30 lets the registered owner sign a Derelict Motor Vehicle Certificate (HSMV 82101) with valid ID — we bring the form.

Two legal ways through it in Florida.
1. Florida Electronic Title (ELT)
If your loan was paid off, the lender likely released the lien electronically and the title lives in the FLHSMV system — there may never have been paper. We look up the record with your VIN; if a paper copy is needed it can be printed at a tag agency via Form HSMV 82040.
2. Derelict certificate (FL Statute 319.30, Form HSMV 82101)
For a car 10 or more model years old, valued for dismantling, the registered owner can sign a Derelict Motor Vehicle Certificate with a valid government ID. We bring the form and complete it at pickup.

Yes. Clean running cars are a big part of what we buy, and we typically pay up to 7% over a dealer trade-in. If there's a loan, we pay the lender and you keep the equity.
